This past weekend Cassper Nyovest may have left a few haters sour. The award winning rapper performer what fans are describing on Twitter as an unforgettable performance at The Dome. The Dome has a seating capacity of 20 000 and sources claim he managed to sell out all tickets to his show.
According to eNCA News “Cassper Nyovest made history by being the first local artist to sell-out The Dome in Northriding, Johannesburg.” The Dome is usually filled to capacity when international artists such as Jay Z, Rihanna, Chris Brown or Kanye West perform. Local South African hip hop acts haven’t been known to achieve the same. However, October 31, 2015, marked the day Cassper Nyovest broke that barrier.
The official hashtag that you may have seen plastered all over Twitter in the months leading up to this historic movement was #FillUpTheDome. This morning on Twitter, the hashtag was a trending topic.
Fans also took to Twitter to show their appreciation for the 24-year-old rapper and including celebrities, ministers and public figures.
Cassper Nyovest also thanked his team for working so hard to make his dream come true and used this opportunity to reinforce that he should not be compared to the likes of Kanye West or Michael Jackson.
